Advice to youngsters on the crucial aspect of befriending pious friends and staying in good company. Also discusses common illnesses found within the youth in our times.

Friendship ...  All the friendships and relationships established for the sake of the world are of no avail. Not only are they a waste of time, but on the day of Qiyamah, they will be a means of destruction. The Glorious Qur'an announces: 'All friends on the day of Qiyamah will be enemies of one another...' Here the Qur'an has not said that friends will not benefit each other on the day of Qiyamah, that they will be separated and taken far from each other; the Qur'an has said that on the day of Qiyamah friends who are not God-fearing will be the enemies of each other. This enmity will be of such a degree that each will try to take the other with him to Hell.
... Our Young Generation. In this day and age, the friend is most precious and dear. The friend is more valuable than parents, more valuable than a brother, more valuable than a sister. We sacrifice everything for our friend - 'No, He is my friend.' But go and sit in prison for a while and see how many friends come to visit you. After being sentenced to jail, the convicted one clings to his parents with wails and sobs saying: 'Now I realise I haven't got any friends. After I come out you will see a lot of change in my life. Now I know only my parents are my friends. Now I have realised...'
